Free baby sign classes

I don't know if anyone is interested in baby sign language but I think it is the best thing I could have ever done for me and Tanner. It is amazing. He can say about 35-40 words in sign. He can tell you if he is hungry or thirty, cold, tired or any other thing he might be feeling.

San Diego has tons of free classes for young children and parents.

Tanner and I go to toddler sign on Mondays. (tomorrow we are riding the ferry to seaport village)
Wed. we go to an outdoor class that meets at a new park around San Diego every week. (Fair last week)
Thurs. is an indoor play group where we do some crafts and discussions about various topics.
and Fridays we go to an infant sign class.
These are amazing classes that are totally free. We take field trips to places like Sea World, the Zoo, a small farm,Pumpkin patch, and Birch aquarium just to name a few. We love our teacher Becky. babysignsandiego.com

I just wanted to put this info out there if anyone is interested. It is never too late to start teaching signs and if you are not really in to that just come on out and get together with other moms.

It is summer session right now so there are only a few more classes in the summer but I will try to let everyone know when it starts back up in the fall.

Tanner's First Haircut

I finally took Tanner in for his first haircut. He hated it and screamed the whole time but the lady did such a great job. Here are a few pictures of before and after as well as some that show just how mad he really was. He looks so much older. I guess he my little man now instead of my little baby.

Fun Day at the Zoo

Hello everyone,

David and I took Tanner to the Zoo for the first time the other day and we had a great time. The weather was perfect and it was not very crowded so it was really nice. I didn't take a lot of pictures because Tanner had a fit when I took him out of the stroller and tried to put him back in so he walked along side David and I for most of the day. It was so funny, as we walked up the big hill to go and see the polar bears I could hear Tanner huffing and puffing Oooh! Oooh! with every step. We laughed and stopped for a minute to let him rest but he wanted to keep going so up we went.

Later in the day we were walking along and Tanner found two wonderful leaves on the ground. He carried them for about a mile and then he just plopped down in the middle of the street to rest.

When we finally got him out of the street he walked a good long while smacking a different leaf on everything in his path till he got tired again and sat down on the curb to rest again. That was when we finally decided it was time to go.

We had a lot of fun. Tanner loved the leaves on the ground, the rock walls that he could touch, and the giraffes and monkeys the best.
